Euro bit Dollar.
Chinese in strong demand
If we have to look at art world two works by Wang Jin, one represents a 2 dollar note auctioned at 45.000 Pounds (e.b.p.), other showing a 5 Euro note for 58.000 Pounds (e.b.p).
Chinese demand remains strong and almost all lots bit estimations. It was difficult to buy a lot lower than 100.000 Pounds excluded buyer’s premium.
Among them Zhang Xiaogang a portrait 91x71 at 240.000 (estimate 150-200). Other bigger representing a light bulb from amnesia series 249x300 at only 150.000 (estimate 150-200).
Zeng Fanzhi Mask series 80x60 at 170.000 (60-80) and other portrait 250x250 at 190.000 (100-150).
Tang Zhigang 114x145 at 130.000 (70-90)
Fang Lijun 120x80 at 130.000 (100-150)
Wang Guangyi 149x120 Beuys at 110.000 (70-90)
Very interesting the bid for a Shi Xinning representing Yalta gone for 160.000 (estimate 50-70). Really funny one.
