Li Qing

Li Qing (李青 Born in Zhejiang Province in 1981). Graduated from China Academy of Fine Arts, Department of Oil Painting. He currently lives and works in Hangzhou.

Li Qing is recognized as one of the young Chinese artists who have achieved more exemplary consistency between concept and language arts in their work. Finding Differences in both his painting series started in 2005, and in his later series Images of Mutual Undoing and Unity, Li Qing intellectually restores the interaction between viewer and painting. In addition, exploration of pictorial language has led him to work with other media such as installation and video.

Li Qing, can indeed be called as the most representative figures in the new generation of artists. All along, he was born in 1981 through a series of paintings, video, installation, photography and other media, creative, and constantly expand its exploration, and to show us the personal ideas, language and theme of the excellent combination between the energy born fat .

More than that, with his talent and lucid intelligence, along with his facility for marrying concept and language and his adventurously unfolding mode of serial production, he has proven, over time, that his work yet to come holds forth a certain hope for the future of Chinese art.
