Cao Jingping

Cao Jingping (曹平 Born in Chongqin in 1972), graduated from Oil-painting Faculty of Si Chuan Art College with master degree in 1999. In 1997 he obtained "Luo Zhongli Oil Painting Scholarship".

Cao Jingping expresses a rhyme of the modern landscape with a traditional way of line drawing to depict a landscape, of these same ancient spirits that were shown on the landscape and in the expression

Cao Jingping’s modern take on Chinese painting was detailed, monochromatic, and emotionally powerful.

The works of Cao Jingping are imbued with the philosophical tradition of Daoism and Confucianism and display the notion of the Oriental Zen. His paintings also reflect the intellectual concern of a contemporary Chinese artist for his country's traditional art.

"The yearnings for springs and woods, the companionship of mist and morning rays, are like dreams and beyond the perception of senses. Now, thanks to ingenious hands, springs and ravines are brought before the eyes, and one does not even have to step out of the hall. The sounds of apes and the songs of birds appear to be within hearing; while the charms of hill and water are dazzling to the eyes. What joy! What pleasure that touches my bosom!"
